Rick Peterson,
LAc, MSTOM
Soon after graduating high school in Minnesota, Rick Peterson
joined the U.S. Air Force where he spent four years serving his country. He was
stationed in California at Edwards Air Force Base. Upon completion of his service,
Rick became a full-time student and received his Associates Degree from Cuesta
College in San Luis Obispo, CA.
While in San Luis Obispo, Rick suffered
from chronic pain due to an injury that occurred during his time in the military.
Rick decided to try acupuncture and after a series of sessions, he was completely
pain free. This great success using alternative medicine versus taking prescription
drugs inspired Rick to focus his continued education on the study of acupuncture
and Chinese Medicine.
Rick was accepted into one of the most prestigious
schools of acupuncture: The Pacific College of Oriental Medicine located in San
Diego. During his rigorous training at P.C.O.M., Rick became passionate about
the treatment of orthopedics and internal medicine. He completed many internships
and assistantships with highly respected practitioners and gained extensive knowledge
in his area of focus.
Rick currently practices at The Healing Point located
in San Diego close to downtown and the 163 and 5 freeways. He strives to give
his patients the best acupuncture experience possible and offers a wide range
of healing techniques that he incorporates during his sessions based on the patients'

cranial sacral
